Best Party Ever!!! 5 STARS!!!

We had my fiance's 65th surprise birthday in Pilot Pete's Party Room on 10/30. What a wonderful venue!! The appetizers were plentiful and VERY tasty...the dinner courses were absolutely delicious...the service was five-star. And what a beautiful room on such a lovely sunshiney day! The tables were decked with lovely autumn-inspired coverings...the room immaculate. Honestly, I received so many compliments for all of Pilot Pete's staff's hard work. Today, I've gotten three calls from guests talking about the room, the food, and the whole experience.
And, no! I'm not related to anyone at Pilot Pete's!!! ;-) But, hey, when yer terrific, well, yer just terrific!! Thank you to everyone involved. We had a GREAT time!!!!

Who is Pete?

I had the New England Clam Chowder which was good and thick. In fact, it
was filling to the point that it was almost a meal in itself. I had the
Oscar Chicken: boneless grilled chicken covered with crabmeat and
served with asparagus, which is supposed to be on top of the chicken but
I think it was on the side. And there wasn't too much crabmeat on it
but that's OK; it still had a great crabmeat taste. It came with mixed
vegetables: cauliflower and broccoli. It was a delicious meal, but I had
to take half of it home because the soup was so filling. I went with a
group and almost everyone said the same thing and they took home
leftovers. Some of the others in my party had pasta and it looked like
ALOT of pasta. I would definitely come again. I might try the steak next
time. Also it was cool seeing the planes take off. What restaurant can
you go to and see that??
I still have one question though: Who is
Pete?? If half the menu items are named after Pete (IE "Pete's Za"),
then I expect to learn a little something about Pete. Couldn't the menus
have some sort of biography?
And who is Ashley?

Family,friends or just as a couple,
great place to eat!

We have eaten here as a family, with friends and just as a couple. It
works! They have a bar if you don't want the full restaurant
experience.( just a drink and talk) If you had to wait for a long while
that would have to speak for the resturant as having outstanding food!
During Lent they have a Fish Fry on Fridays's and the wait is longer
than usual. We recommend this restaurant 5 stars! Hostess Brooke is
extremely pleasant.
A Family Favorite

Pilot Pete's has very quickly become one of our family's favorite
restaurants. The atmosphere is good. The menu is large and varied, from
hamburgers and sandwiches to fish to pasta to chicken. We were there
last weekend with a party of 12. Everyone ordered something different,
and everyone loved their food. Also, the portion sizes are huge. The
waitstaff has never been less than exceptional. We will go back
frequently. The closest thing I have to a complaint is that the tables
are a little close together, which can make maneuvering through
restaurant a little difficult, and when it is full it can get a little
loud. To me, that small amount of potential inconvenience is well worth
the meal.

Great restaurant great drinks great view!

Overall great place. Natalia who is our FAVORITE waitress, knows our favorite drink, it's one of her own specialities, called a Tokeyo Tea, which is delicious, and she has one on our table before we even call her over. hearty and delicious soups, wonderfully styled and tasty entrees. Fun atmosphere. I love the place! I see more families there, and I don't know if they appreciate the type of place it really is! Great staff, great food, and ther view? Imagine watching planes taking off to the orange-yellow-reds of the schaumburg sunsets. Beautiful and thrilling! A must visit.

I LOVE Pilot Petes!!!!!!!!!! The Mexican Cobb salad is my favorite item on the menu! The staff is incredibly professional, yet casual, and the most polite wait staff in the Schaumburg area. A great place to bring the family or just a night out for appetizers and drinks. Have NEVER had a bad experience. I highly recommend this restaurant! Cheers!

Had dinner and drinks, Good food and mixed drinks. Very unique interior theme - kinda like the 94th Aero squadron in Wheeling. Near Roselle and Schaumburg Flyers Stadium. Gina was our sever and did a good job of checking back on us.

Watching planes take off and land while you eat and relax is one of the coolest eating experiences ever. Interior is great for kids that enjoy aviation and airplanes. Food is pretty good ( good burger ) and wait staff was good. They also have free- WiFi for anyone interested.

I went here for my birthday recently, and I had an EXCELLENT experience. First off, when another diner spilled their wine, the bartender was extremely quick at pouring a new one on the house. For appetizers, I ordered the spice sticks and quesadillas, both of which tasted amazing. The sauce that came with the spice sticks was heavenly, and the waiter was nice enough to give me a sample of the sauce to bring home. For an entree, I decided to taste their filet mignon. It was small, but DELICIOUS! It nearly melted in my mouth! I also tried a bit of their burger, which tasted quite good as well. I didn't really care for their sweet potato fries. As for the atmosphere, it is definitely family-oriented, but not family-only, as there is a bar and it is not all kids stuff. The views you get of the airport are great. The particular day I dined here, there wasn't much air
traffic, though we did get some good views of planes taking off and landing. It is definitely enjoyable for airplane enthusiasts. Overall, I enjoyed my time here. The service, although it seemed slow at times, was exceptional and the food... mmm... delectable!

Great food, great atmosphere

I have gone to Pilot Pete's with my mother's singles group a few times, plus a few times on our own. My mother's singles group is mostly older ladies (60 and above). They all want separate checks and can be finicky, but everyone loves this place. The staff is great and deals with these people wonderfully. The food is really the winner here! I have had a variety of items and all have been outstanding. The prices are reasonable too. This is a great restuarant for all occassions and the kids that I have seen there have been treated wonderfully and seem to enjoy the food too.
Okay, I'm a pilot and love airport restaurants...

Okay, I have to admit that I'm a pilot and always seek out airport restaurants. That said, I have to admit that Pilot Pete's is nautical miles ahead of every airport restaurant that I've visited. What really surprised me was the low prices and the food quality.

The place is just plain cool to dine at. The service is excellent and the food is some of the best around, especially for the price. The atmosphere is also quite nice with the memorabilia in the ceilings and the actual planes taking off and landing.

Went to Pete's for the first time with some friends...what a GREAT place! Between the tropical decor, the hanging airplanes throughout the restaurant I didn't know what to look at first. I had out of this world pot roast and my wife had the ribs. We both agreed they both were the best we've ever had. The amount of food you get is insane for the price. Our kids couldn't decide what to pick from their huge kids menu (a parents dream). Our server "Gale" was incredibly friendly and knowledgable. That was a month ago and we've been back three times since!

I attended a luncheon at Pilot Pete's with a group of over 60 persons and, while we had a special menu with four items, everyone was served promptly and with great care. The food was, in a word, wonderful! I had a pot roast and it was very flavorful (which some aren't) and was a very ample sized portion. It was accompanied by garlic mashed potatoes (great) and a vegetable mix of green beans and cauliflower. The meal was topped off with "Mile High Pie" which begins with an Oreo crust, then layers of vanilla and chocolate ice cream, and a
GIANT meringue top drizzled with chocolate sauce and coco powder. I really can't wait to return! Oh, the restaurant overlooks Schaumburg Airport and is filled with flying memorabilia. What a place!

On Easter Sunday, after having been rudely treated & turned away from another restaurant - La Strada - when they lost our reservation, we called Pilot Pete's at 10:30am Easter morning & asked if they had room at their brunch for 3 people. They said sure, if we could get there soon & if the bar area would be ok. We said sure. We got there & the manager & hostesses could not have been nicer. We did not have to wait at all, & got us seated even though they were booked up. The waitress we had was also very nice. The ambience of the place at the Schaumburg airport added to the dining experience. It felt like a place we belonged, not stuffy or stodgy. The food was good, but the service is what really made this a worthwhile experience. Will definitely go there again for the food, service, & ambience.
